A Prayer on the Fifteenth Remembrance
The earth bared its fangs, Buildings writhed, trembling with the sound of imminent collapse.
In the city that followed — a strange exaltation, a surge of crowds.
In the raw nature of man laid bare, I found despair.
Through fifteen years, people drift and landscapes change.
Still, toward the countless lives swallowed by the cold sea —Quietly offered prayers, layered again and again.
The weight of living, held within these hands.
The sleep of those gone, toward a deep and still calm.
In silence, I offer this prayer.
